Am I fit enough to start CrossFit?

Some people say that the hardest move in CrossFit is opening the door on your first day…

It can feel intimidating, with loud music, guys with their shirts off working out; faster than you’ve thought was humanly possible. But we’re here to make you feel comfortable, introduce you to our members and welcome you to the team.

You may be surprised by the friendly and supportive atmosphere, which is the total opposite of a typical Globo-gym where people don’t talk to each other, walking around with their headphones in, flexing at the mirror.

The movements you see some athletes doing might seem daunting, but everyone was a beginner when they first started and we can modify anything and everything to a scale that suits your current abilities. We just need you to trust us and commit to the process, can you do that?

You can’t do Box Jumps yet? We have jump platforms for that…

You can’t squat properly yet? We have a mobility class for that…

You can’t do a pull-up yet? We have bands to help you with that…

The word “can’t” features above a little too often for our liking and we’re going to help you change that word to CAN! By developing what you are able to right now, building strength and confidence, leading to movements and a life you never thought possible before.

We’ll teach you that it is actually ok to fail, we all learn through this and once we accept that this is still progress towards our goals, it doesn’t feel as bad. It’s ok to come last in a workout and we’ll support you through anything you find difficult. We don’t care what you look like, we all had to start somewhere and we understand that too. However we do care about what you can do and how you do it, we want to help you become an optimal version of yourself, how does that sound?

Once you’ve mastered the art of walking through the door on your own, you’ll soon realize that it’s more than just a workout to us, it’s the best hour of our day, where we see our friends, make new ones and compete against each other; we have fun.

Many people may think that they aren’t fit enough to start CrossFit, but it’s only by starting that we progressively get to where we want to be, we don’t throw you in at the deep end and you are always monitored to ensure what you are doing is safe and is giving you maximum benefit.

Anyone can do it…
